Ethan Mcarthur Call

He's finally here!
Ethan Mcarthur Call
Born: Dec. 19, 2006 at 3:19 am
Weight: 6lbs 3oz
Length: 20.5 in
He's an amazing gift and we couldn't be happier to have him home with us! He was 3 weeks early and much smaller than the Dr. predicted, but he is a healthy, happy baby.
I started labor on my own at 3:ooam on the 18th, but they had to induce because I wasn't progressing . I was in labor for about 24 hours and decided to get an epidural about 12 hours into it; this was a wonderful choice!
Steve and I are absolutely thrilled and can't get over the fact that Ethan is ours, that we made him, and that we get to be with him forever!
We hope you had a joyous and peaceful Christmas!
Love,
Steve, Heide and Ethan

2 Days Late

Happy Birthday Heide! I know I'm late, but I was thinking about you. I hope you enjoyed your birthday and were pampered. You deserve that anyway, being 9 months pregnant, but I hope you were doubley pampered. Love ya!

We're Losers!

Just wanted to drop a note here and say sorry we're such losers and don't have any kind of a cute picture to put up or send out. Getting Pret to take a picture with me is like trying to pull teeth. Maybe we will get some taken over the break and I will get them up after the fact.

Hope everyone is doing well and has a great break. I won't have internet access on a regular basis over the break, so my entries will probably be more sporatic. But I look forward to hearing great updates and fun stories!

Love to all!

Merry Christmas

We are sending email Christmas cards this year. So I thought I would just post it here, for everyone. We hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!

oops

Sorry, I'm new at this! The first picture can't be enlarged, it looks a lot better than this one, but this picture should be easier to see.

Merry Christmas Girls! We sent this picture out to family with our Christmas cards (which I'm finally done with!) but I wanted to share it with you too!
I hope you're enjoying the season!

With Love,

Heide

Me and a 9 lb. baby???

So I went in for my last ultrasound last week and our baby boy is already 6lbs. 6oz. That doesn't seem so bad until the Dr. informs you that if he makes he to 40 weeks he'll be over 9lbs! Can you imagine me giving birth to a 9lb. baby?

If he doesn't come on his own we'll induce by the end of the month. I am already dilated to 1cm, so we'll see what comes of all this!
I feel pretty good considering the fact that I'm carrying around an extra 23 lbs and constantly getting kicked in the ribs and punched in the bladder. Our son is nearly as active as his father; I'm excited to see all of this activity when it's not giving me the urge to rush to the bathroom!

I know I emailed the video but here's some pictures of Grant's first eating experience. I wanted to get him to sleep better at night. He's still been waking up every 2-3 hours. So we gave him cereal and last night he slept for 6 hours straight! Of course I didn't sleep for most of that, but still, there's hope. The joys you guys have to look forward too, some sooner than others!

Wedding Pictures

Hi Girls,

I am not sure if I am doing this right at all. I am the last one to enter the world of blogging. I think this is a great way to stay better in touch!

Hailey requested some wedding pics so we'll see if this works. Hopefully I have Sarah's permission to post these- since she took them all!

Tonight Meg,Preston, Sarah, and Eric and Dallas and myself are all having dinner! Instead of a Macaroni Grill trip in December we'll do this instead. I wish Hailey, Heide and their families could join us!

Anyway, we'll see if this works- hope all is well for everyone!

Thanks

I finally signed up and am on board! Thanks for all the congratulations. We're excited as well. Heide--how are you doing? Not too much longer!

Ok, I will consent

Ok, I really shouldn't be doing this--I should be teaching kids (see today's entry on my other blog...)--but I will appease the greater audience. Here are a few of my favorites of the wedding pictures.

My neices are adorable, are they not?!?! I swear one of my colors was NOT pink!!

I have tried to find ones that aren't sideways, but it isn't working, so I am sorry. Hopefully you can get the idea anyway!
My beautiful bridesmaids--aren't the colors great! I still love them everytime I look at these pictures. That is Pret's sister Kris on the end with Hannah in the middle and we all know and love Lauren!

I still love it when he kisses me on the forehead!

Yeah!!

Congrats Sarah! If the rest of you don't know what I'm talking about, check out her blog! I'm so excited!

Request

This is specifically for Lauren and Megan. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to attend your weddings, as you well know, so I am requesting that you post some wedding pictures. I don't even know what you're dresses looked like! So when you get a chance I would love to see some. Thanks!

Grant

I can't believe how big he is. They grow up so fast! He looks exactly like Jackson did, it's almost scary.

Editing

Hailey,

Can you go in and make it so that we can all make changes, not just post. Or will you add the links to our individual family pages? That makes it so that we can just go to the individual sites to see pictures that have been put up there rather than redoing them on here.

Thanks,
Megan

Lots to do!

First of all, good idea Hailey, I hope this keeps us better connected!
I have to admit I was pretty surprised to see me big belly on the screen when I opened the page, but I can't see enough of my little boy!
We'll work on getting more pictures up soon.

I had a baby shower last night and I feel so grateful for a great friends I've made from my ward and neighborhood! I brought home some great gifts, but now I have mounds of laundry to get started on before the big arrival.
I also have almost all of my Christmas shopping to do, but my Dr. is trying to tell me to stay off my feet as much as possible since I've already started having contractions. This is a nearly impossible request since all I want to do is run around and get everything done even if it's something I've already done. I suppose you could say I'm stuck in the nesting period.

I hope You're all enjoying the beautiful snow I've been hearing so much about! I'm happy to have the temperature drop below 70 and I think I'll only be dreaming of a white Christmas this year.

Lauren, Sarah, have there been any decisions made about schools yet?
Everyone needs to put up some pictures!!!

Love, Heide
