Surprise!

Who know I was pregnant! Just kidding- I wish I were.... but the picture is of my new little niece! My older brother Michael and his wife Lindsey welcomed their new daughter on Friday. She was 5 lb 13 oz- She was about 3.5 weeks earlier (technically premature) but everything seems to be all right. She is so tiny.... I can't believe it.

I figured if I can't share any exciting news myself along this line- I would share my brothers.

Holidays with kids

My mom has always been really big on Christmas and birthdays. I understand now why. Holidays are fun with babies, but with kids, your own kids, they are awesome. I could spend all my money on toys and presents for Jackson. Being a mom just gets better and better. Jackson turned 3 yesterday and it was one of the best days ever. I love being a mom!!

On the Road...Again

As some of you know, Steve has been less than satisfied with his job here, (long commute, low morale, un-kept promises...) Well, he stumbled upon a great opportunity at another hospital and we're moving at the end of this month! It's all happened so fast, but we feel it's an opportunity, a blessing really that we can't pass up. So, as of Feb. 25th we'll make out home in Danville, IL (near Chicago) I think there's something magnetic about the mid-west!
Steve is intimidated by the responsibilities that come with the promotion, but I know he'll adjust well.
I am nervous about the change, but thrilled about being closer to my family. Chicago's a great city, you're all welcome to come and visit once we get settled, and Hailey, we'll have to meet in Appleton some time!

Our Baby Girl

Yes! It's a girl! Eric and I couldn't be more thrilled. We are so happy that she is healthy, too. I was so confident that it was a girl, that I already a dress before I found out. Now I don't have to take it back! My official due date is now 07/07/07--confirmed by my first ultrasound, and now my second (although there is a very little chance we will be born on that day). I am feeling pretty good; I can't quite stop taking my medication though. At any rate, we are so happy!

This picture was the one that supposedly indicated it was a girl. It was obvious to the ultrasound tech, but we actually guessed it was a boy by the photo (can you see why?).

Deleted Blog

Just an FYI. I deleted our family's blog. I don't keep it up and since I send the emails I figure it keeps everyone posted, if not too posted on what is going on in our lives.
